Jeff was born in St. Charles, Mo. and moved to Texas with his parents when he was 17.  Jeff liked the pizza in Texas but it was nothing like back home.  Jeff always dreamed of opening a pizza restaurant and serving St. Louis Style Pizza,  and after 24 years the dream came true on Aug 25, 2006 when 5th Street Pizza was opened at the SE corner of W. McDermott and Alma behind Capital One Bank.  5th Street is named after Pios Restaurant, Jeff's favorite restaurant in St. Charles which is on the corner of 5th Street and First Capital.

Mary was born and raised in Plano Texas.  Graduated Plano Senior High School in 1985 and met Jeff in Summer 1985 at Richland Junior College.  Mary and Jeff married in March 1991.  Mary worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas for 13 years before leaving her marketing job to open 5th Street Pizza.  You can find Mary at the restaurant most business mornings running the register for the lunch crowd.
